Additionally, it complies with the Japan Automobile Federation's (JAF) revised recommended usage guidelines, which raise the height recommendation from under 4’7″(140cm) to under 4’11″(150cm).

  Stable support with a 5-point harness

  The 5-point harness provides strong support, making the transition from a newborn-type car seat smooth. For heights between 2’6″ (76 cm) to 3’5″ (105 cm), you can use the 5-point harness in "Child Safety Mode." As your child grows, it can be used in "Junior Mode" with the car's seatbelt for heights between 3’3″ (100 cm) to 4’11″ (150 cm).

  This ISOFIX child seat meets the rigorous safety standards set by the UN ECE R129/03, approved by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). It's designed to safely accommodate children from 2’6″(76cm) to 4’11″(150cm) in height.

  Installing the main unit with a seatbelt can be surprisingly tricky. But with ISOFIX, it's super easy—just plug in the connectors and set the top tether in two simple steps. There's also an alarm to prevent any installation mistakes. The stability when secured and the ease of correct installation make ISOFIX highly recommended for new moms. *The alarm is only available in child safety mode. *For junior mode, you can also install it in vehicles that don’t have ISOFIX (using only a 3-point seatbelt).

  What are Child safety mode and Junior safety mode?

  The PUPPAPUPO's foldable child car seat features two modes: "Child Safety Mode" for children between 2’6″ (76 cm) to 3’5″ (105 cm), and "Junior Mode" for heights from 3’3″ (100 cm) to 4’11″ (150 cm), making it suitable for long-term use. We also offer a separately sold "Booster Car Seat" for children between 4’1″(125cm) - 4’11″(150cm).

  Junior mode

  For children from 3’3″ (100 cm) to 4’11″ (150 cm), you can switch to "Junior Mode," using the car’s 3-point seat belt. *Please note that the built-in harness needs to be stored away when changing modes.

  Featuring a convenient reclining function and a headrest that adjusts with the shoulder belts

  The PUPPAPUPO high-back child seat features an adjustable reclining function, which is often hard to find. It offers five reclining positions for comfort, while the headrest can be adjusted in 15 different levels to accommodate your child's growth. Plus, the headrest and shoulder straps are conveniently linked for easy adjustments.

  With a lightweight design of about 13.9 lbs (6.3 kg), it's easy to move the seat between cars or reposition it within the vehicle. Installation is flexible, accommodating both ISOFIX and seatbelt options, so it fits a wider variety of vehicles. *When using child safety mode, installation is not possible in vehicles that do not support ISOFIX (only using a 3-point seatbelt).
